1. Sở hữu cách với ‘s (A’s B – B của A)
Thường dùng cho người hoặc động vật.
- Danh từ số ít: Thêm ‘s (Tom’s book).
- Danh từ số nhiều kết thúc bằng -s: Chỉ thêm dấu phẩy ‘ (the students’ room).
- Danh từ số nhiều bất quy tắc: Thêm ‘s (the children’s toys).
2. Sở hữu với “of” (B of A – B của A)
Thường dùng cho vật, địa điểm hoặc khái niệm trừu tượng (the roof of the house).
