I believe that although many people work hard for positive reasons, working long hours is not always beneficial because excessive effort can eventually reduce both performance and well-being.One reason some individuals work harder than others is that they have a strong sense of responsibility and ambitious personal goals. They often believe that achieving academic success or career advancement depends mainly on consistent effort rather than natural talent. In highly competitive environments, people may also feel pressure to stand out from others in order to secure better opportunities. For example, a university student who hopes to receive a scholarship may spend additional hours studying every evening. As a result, maintaining a high standard of performance becomes both a personal ambition and a practical necessity. However, working harder does not always produce better outcomes because there is a limit to human productivity. People who work under constant pressure without enough rest are more likely to experience stress, fatigue, and declining motivation. For instance, an employee who regularly stays late at the office may complete more tasks initially but eventually suffer from burnout, leading to poorer decisions and lower efficiency. In contrast, those who maintain a healthy work-life balance often remain productive for much longer. Therefore, sustained success depends not only on effort but also on balancing work with adequate recovery. In conclusion, people often work harder because of ambition, responsibility, and competition, but genuine success is more likely when hard work is combined with balance and good physical and mental health.Total Words: 272 | Estimated Band: 8.0Từ vựng chủ đềBand 8 ExpressionNghĩa tiếng Việtworking long hourslàm việc trong thời gian dàia strong sense of responsibilityý thức trách nhiệm caoachieving academic successđạt được thành công trong học tậpcareer advancementthăng tiến trong sự nghiệpstand out from othersnổi bật hơn người khácmaintaining a high standard of performanceduy trì hiệu suất ở mức caoa limit to human productivitygiới hạn của năng suất con ngườiwork under constant pressurelàm việc dưới áp lực liên tụcsuffer from burnoutbị kiệt sức vì công việcmaintain a healthy work-life balanceduy trì sự cân bằng giữa công việc và cuộc sống
